How It Works

Locate Handoff for Jira under Your Apps on the left side of Jira. Click on it to open the app and dive straight into My Queue.

Browse & Add

Search across all your Jira projects by key or keyword. Color-coded row highlights show which tickets are already in your queue, currently blocking others, or blocked. Hit + to add any ticket instantly.

Inbox, Handoffs & Blockers

Inbox

Everything in one place. Send and receive handoffs, blockers and team alerts. Recipients get an Inbox notification and a formatted comment is auto-posted on each Jira ticket.

Handoffs

Send structured handoffs — select tickets from your queue, set priority, pick recipients, add a note, and hit Send.

Blockers

When work is stuck, fire a Blocker Alert. Select the blocked ticket(s), the blocking ticket(s), the team members then leave a comment.

Resolve

When you want to resolve the blocker, add the tickets involved, along with the people then leave a comment which updates the ticket.
