Setting it up

Is there anything to configure after installing?

No. The app has no settings screen and adds no admin page to Confluence. What it is allowed to do is decided entirely by the space permissions you already have — see the Admin guide.

Who can use it once it is installed?

Everyone on the site. Forge apps install site-wide, so there is no per-space enablement step. What each person can actually clone is still decided by their own space permissions.

Can I restrict it to certain spaces?

Not from inside the app, because there is nothing to configure. It acts as you, so it can only read pages you can already read and only create pages where you could create them by hand.

Will it slow my Confluence site down?

It runs on Atlassian’s own infrastructure and does nothing until you open it. There are no background jobs and nothing is added to your existing pages.

Does it work on Confluence Server or Data Center?

No. It is built on Atlassian Forge, which is Cloud only.

Where do I open it from?

Three places: the Apps menu in the left sidebar, an existing page’s ••• menu, or by typing /bulkpage in the editor — see Where to open it.

Cloning and limits

How many copies can I make at once?

Twenty-five per run. The slider stops at 25, and typing a larger number into the box snaps back to it.

Can I clone from more than one source page?

No — one source per run. Every copy comes from the single page you pick in Step 1. To clone a second template, run the flow again.

What gets copied?

Everything on the page: content, formatting, images, video, macros, labels and attachments. A copy is a real duplicate, not a link to the original, which is why embedded media renders on the copy instead of breaking.

Does cloning use storage?

Yes, and more than you might expect — attachments are written again for every page you create. Clone a page carrying a 50 MB video 25 times and Confluence stores roughly 1.25 GB, not 50 MB. Confluence enforces its own quota and the app cannot see it — see Limits.

What if two copies end up with the same title?

Confluence requires page titles to be unique within a space. The app warns you before you continue, and Auto-number is the one-click fix. Going ahead anyway is safe: the app appends (1), (2) and so on, which is what Confluence would do.

Licensing and purchasing

What does it cost?

Free for teams of 10 users or fewer. Above that it is billed through the Atlassian Marketplace on graduated tiers — the pricing calculator on the product page shows the current rate for your user count.

Do I need a DataPingo account?

No. Billing is Atlassian’s and lands on your existing Atlassian invoice. There is no separate account to create and no payment detail to enter with us.

Is the free tier a trial?

No. Teams of 10 users or fewer are free on an ongoing basis, not for a limited period.

What happens if the subscription lapses?

The app tells you before you have done any work, with a link to the place you can renew. Pages already created are unaffected — they are ordinary Confluence pages.

Privacy and security

Where does my data go?

Nowhere outside Atlassian. The app runs entirely on Atlassian infrastructure with no external egress declared, which is what the Runs on Atlassian badge certifies. Nothing reaches a DataPingo server.

What permissions does it ask for?

Six, and nothing else: read and write Confluence pages, read spaces, read labels, write content, and app storage. See the Admin guide for what each one is for.

Who appears as the author of the pages?

You do. Every read and write is made with your own account, so the copies are created under your name rather than the app’s.

Do @mentions on the source page notify people again?

Yes — once per copy. Copies are ordinary Confluence pages, so Confluence treats them as ordinary pages: twenty-five copies means twenty-five notifications per mentioned person, on a short delay. There is no flag to suppress it, so the app warns you on Step 2 before anything is created.

Do you store my pages?

Only briefly. Forge storage holds a short-lived page-list cache and any template snapshot you save, and snapshots are deleted after each run. The app keeps no user records of its own.

What happens when I uninstall?

Everything the app stored is deleted. Pages you already created stay in Confluence as ordinary pages — nothing is removed.
