Highlights

Every page in its place, in one step.

Confluence adds new pages to the end of the list and moves them one drag at a time. Page Order does the whole list at once.

Sort child pages in one step

A to Z, Z to A, newest, oldest or recently updated — for the pages you pick, or every level below. Numbers sort as numbers, so 2 comes before 10.

Drag and Drop

Drag many pages into place at once

Drag across pages to select a group, then drop it on a new spot or onto another page. Nothing changes in Confluence until you save.

Move To…

Move pages to another parent or space

Pick any space you can reach and the page to put them under. Child pages go with their parent, and a clashing title can be renamed on the way.

1,000 movesPer save, each one listed before you save. Sorting every level below is capped at 500 parents instead.
Your permissionsIt acts as you, so people only move pages they could already move.

How It Works

Arrange it first. Save when it looks right.

Nothing touches Confluence until you press Save — every move waits in Unsaved changes first.

Step 1 — Open: Organize Child Pages on the Team Handbook space, with the page tree on the left
Step 2 — Sort: the Sort all menu over Policies, with 8 page moves in Unsaved changes
Step 3 — Drag: five selected pages dragged as one, with a line showing where they land
Step 4 — Move to: three pages on their way to the top level of the Archive space

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Page Order acts as you, so you only see pages you can already see, and only move pages you could already move by hand. Restricted pages stay out of reach.
Up to 1,000 page moves per save. Confluence can’t move a page with more than 1,000 pages beneath it — not even with its own Move — so neither can the app. See every limit.
The save stops there. Pages already moved stay moved, and nothing else is kept. Open it again and the list shows the order as it is now — sort or move again and save, and only what is still out of place moves.
Yes. Built on Atlassian Forge, it runs entirely on Atlassian’s own infrastructure. It stores nothing and sends nothing outside Confluence.
